POETRY

Current project: Fullcircle

My recent batch of poems is loosely compiled in a collection I'm calling Fullcircle: poems that explore the cyclical nature of memory through various relationships past and future, as well as other college-age questions of home and belonging.

It just means you've been here before"

SHORT FICTION

Current project: "Brother By Blood"

My most recent project in the realm of short fiction is a fantasy piece following Kori, an elf mage, and his childhood best friend Griff as they navigate the impacts that the passing years have had on their group of old adventuring friends. Despite having fought and defeated a tyrannical king as teenagers and returned the rightful heir to the throne, not even their eclectic band of heroes can survive the strains of time unscathed - and when Griff has been the closest thing to a family that Kori's ever had, that might be the most daunting battle yet.

LONG-FORM FICTION

Current project: The Chronicles of Valdesia

My most notable work in progress is my long-term novel project, a young adult fantasy trilogy broadly titled The Chronicles of Valdesia. In a kingdom where sorcery is feared, a princess with a hidden magic must balance the perilous politics of her own court with a brewing international crisis that threatens to hurl her entire region into war. From courtly scheming to the field of battle, she and her eclectic group of allies must grapple with dangerous discoveries both at home and abroad as they struggle to find their place in a war-threatened world.

SCRIPTWRITING

Current project: None

I have a great respect for the theatre arts, and I've found that script writing is an excellent format for me to practice dialogue and character development. So far, I've only branched out into one-act plays or shorter, but as I continue to explore this format I hope to develop more in-depth scripts in the future.
